Important risks include hyperuricemia, gout, tendon rupture, and gallstones. Interactions and indication details must be checked against the current label and the patient's other lipid medicines.
Bempedoic acid inhibits ATP-citrate lyase upstream of cholesterol synthesis, while ezetimibe reduces intestinal cholesterol absorption. The fixed-dose tablet combines 180 mg and 10 mg respectively.
