Sermorelin can cause injection reactions, flushing, headache, dizziness and hormone-related adverse effects. Compounded products add sterility, identity and dosing uncertainty; use requires licensed clinical oversight.
Sermorelin stimulates pituitary growth-hormone release when the pituitary axis can respond, increasing downstream IGF-1. That pharmacology does not establish benefit for sleep, recovery, anti-aging or bodybuilding in healthy adults.
Regulatory status: the former FDA-approved Geref product was discontinued; current compounded sermorelin is not an FDA-approved finished drug
